I'm Josh, the award-winning designer behind Grounded. I create outdoor spaces with bold ideas, real character and a clear sense of purpose.
I don't have a house formula or style. Every garden, and every client, is unique and I aim to always try and find the right answer for that space. Working through the challenges and finding creative ways to solve them is a massive part of what I enjoy about the job.

From concrete jungle to something far more imaginative. Most of the paving stays, a few slabs become planting pockets, and every inch of the 15m² does two jobs.

Turf kept failing on this shaded slope, so the design stopped fighting it. Ferns, groundcover and evergreens now do the job, and it looks good all year

A garden built for wildlife to thrive in. The lawn goes, replaced by a pond, a dead hedge and planting that brings nature in. Build planned for spring 2027
